Yes, but we have kept it low-cost so everyone can join!
There is a small one-time fee when you sign up for KICK. This covers your Welcome Pack, which includes your Logbook and everything you need to get started.
Some KICK Activity Hubs or special activities may have their own costs, depending on what you choose to do.
If you decide to graduate, there will also be a small fee to help cover the ceremony and celebration.
Overall, KICK is designed to be affordable, fun, and accessible for all families, so you can explore, learn, and enjoy the experience without big costs.
Once you have signed up for KICK, you can collect your Welcome Pack from:

Your KICK Logbook is your ticket to adventure!
Take it with you whenever you visit a KICK Activity Hub. After you complete an activity ask for a stamp in your Logbook.
Each stamp = one activity completed
There are different limited sections in your Logbook (5 or 10 spots), such as Sport, Art, STEM and more, so try to collect stamps from a variety of categories. This helps you explore lots of new and exciting experiences!
Once you have collected 30 stamps, your Logbook is complete, but this should not stop you from collecting more than that!
So do not forget to bring your Logbook along, keep it safe, and have fun filling it up!
You cannot get more than 5 or 10 stamps in one category because KICK is designed to help you try lots of different experiences.
This encourages you to explore many areas such as Sport, Art, STEM, Culture, and Community, rather than focusing on just one.
Do not worry, it happens!
If you lose your KICK Logbook, let us know as soon as possible. If your Logbook is found and returned to Curtin, we will contact you using the details from your registration.
If it cannot be found, you may need to purchase a replacement Logbook to continue the program. Unfortunately, any stamps that were in your lost Logbook cannot be replaced, so it is important to keep it safe.
No, you cannot receive more than one stamp for the same event.
For example, if you attend the STEM Festival, you can only earn one stamp for participating in the event, even if there are multiple booths offering activities and willing to stamp your KICK Logbook.
However, you can get multiple stamps for the same kind of event, such as dance class or visiting the museum, as long as these events are on different dates.
If you do not complete all 30 activities, that is okay.
Your KICK Logbook does not expire, so you can keep using it and attend the next graduation.
However, to be eligible for graduation, you need to complete your activities before you finish Year 6.
Just keep going at your own pace and enjoy the experiences along the way.
Once you have finished your Logbook requirements, you will be able to sign up and confirm your attendance.
You can register for the KICK Graduation by completing the online registration form.
If you have already graduated before, you are still welcome in KICK!
You can register for a new Logbook, enjoy different experiences, and work towards graduating again.
The KICK Graduation Ceremony is a special celebration where you are recognised for completing your Logbook with at least 30 KICK stamps.
It is a chance to celebrate your achievements, receive your graduation certificate, and share the moment with your family, friends, and the KICK community.
Activity Hubs are the places you can visit to learn, explore, and earn stamps in your KICK Logbook!
They might be schools, clubs, museums, community groups and events, businesses, or special activity providers around the Goldfields. Each destination offers a fun, hands-on experience, such as trying a new sport, creating art, learning about history, or exploring science.
Every time you take part in an activity at an Activity Hub, you will receive a stamp in your Logbook. The more destinations you visit, the more you learn and the closer you get to graduation!
So get out there, try new things, and start collecting those stamps!
This sound great! Let them know about our program! Lots of different places can sign up through our website to apply to be an Activity Hub. We would love to hear from them!
Children can still participate in KICK even if they do not live in Kalgoorlie full-time. They are welcome to join in whenever they are in the area and complete activities at their own pace.
Yes, but once a category is full, you will not be able to earn more stamps in that same category.
KICK is all about trying new things, so the aim is to explore lots of different activities rather than repeating the same one.
Never fear – come and see us at Curtin University Kalgoorlie! Explore exciting pathways to university and discover courses such as Mining, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Business. Best of all, you can even experience your very own graduation after!
