Donate to KICK and support our cause!
KICK highlights the wide range of local learning opportunities across the Goldfields, from STEM outreach and community workshops to cultural, sporting, and industry experiences, making them more visible, accessible, and engaging for children and families. Rather than needing to travel to the “big city,” children can discover that meaningful, hands-on learning already exists within their own region.
By working with local organisations, businesses, and community groups, KICK strengthens how these experiences connect as part of a broader learning pathway. This helps children better recognise what is available around them and builds a stronger sense of possibility within their own environment.
Funds donated to KICK directly help ensure these experiences are accessible to all children, regardless of background or circumstance.
What donations are used for
Contributions to KICK support practical, high-impact areas:
1. Community learning experiences
Funding helps cover entry and participation costs for activities, as well as funds additional programs delivered through partners such as Curtin University STEM outreach and other community-based events.
2. Equity and inclusion
Each child receives a logbook to record their learning journey. Donations ensure these are provided free of charge to children with low socio-economic backgrounds, supporting equitable access.
3. Graduation experience and celebration
Donations help create a meaningful KICK graduation, including event setup and organisation. They also subsidise or cover graduation sign-up costs, so no child misses out due to financial barriers.
4. Program coordination and growth
Support helps to coordinate partnerships across the Goldfields and expand the program so more children and Activity Hubs can participate, including into communities such as Leonora, Laverton, Norseman, and Esperance.
The bigger picture:
KICK is more than a series of activities, it is about:
-
building curiosity and confidence in primary students
-
showing real pathways into further study and careers
-
strengthening community connections across regional WA
-
making learning visible beyond the classroom
A donation to KICK helps children see themselves as part of their future community, workforce, and possibilities, while building confidence in what they can achieve and where their learning can take them.
